Dear Parents and Guardians:
It has been wonderful to have your children back in the school this week. The students have done a great job adjusting to the return to in person learning and following our safety protocols. We are starting in person sports and virtual clubs and encourage students to get involved.
School Council:
Our first School Council meeting will be held on Monday, September 27 at 6:30 PM, the link to the meeting will be available on the school website 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the meeting.
During the first meeting, we will be holding School Council elections. The following positions will be available (Co-Chairs 7-8 and 9-12, Secretary, Treasurer, OCSA rep., Members At Large). Nominees seek election to the council as parent members please emailJon Harris, Principal Bell High School ([email protected]).
Federal Election
On Monday September 20th, Bell High School will be a polling station. We will be using our intermediate gymnasium for the polling station which is separate from the academic wings of our school. There is a direct path to the location of the polling station around the main entrances. More information regarding schools as polling stations is available on the OCDSB website.
Student Drop off and Pick Up
Over the summer, the bus loop has been widened to facilitate moving our bus pick up to the back of the school. We have approximately 16 OC transpo buses and a number of specialized vans for student transportation. We would ask that parent drop offs or pick ups occur in the main parking lot off of Cassidy Road, on the gravel roadway south of Bruin Lane or looping through the arena parking lot. Please do not stop along Bruin Lane as these are designated bus lanes for before and after school transport.
